I woke my husband up one night at 3 AM and said, “I want a camera.”

He said, “Okay, but you can’t quit.”

So...here we are.

I’m a blessed wife and mom to two spicy boys in Abilene, Texas. As a family, the four of us tend to follow the Jesus-guided “fiddle around and find out” method of living. We pray about it, give it a shot, and see what happens.

I usually have a new idea or coffee brewing, a rabbit hole being explored, a trip on the horizon, or something I suddenly need to learn. I’m simultaneously deeply contemplative and the person who will inevitably pull the push door.

And somewhere along the way, a 3 AM idea became Rafter K Photography.

Today, I get to photograph families, seniors, couples, weddings, businesses, events, rodeos, and all kinds of beautifully ordinary and wildly unforgettable pieces of people’s lives.

Two years later, I’m still learning, still trying new things, still chasing the next idea, and incredibly grateful for every person who’s trusted me, taught me, encouraged me, or let me photograph a little piece of their life.

And most importantly...

I haven’t quit. And I’m looking forward to the next adventure with you.
